The curated list

Client portal software for agencies

Client portal software for agencies: self-hosted and white-label portals, Wayfront (Service Provider Pro) alternatives, plus the onboarding, proposal, project-management, invoicing and reporting tools that sit around them.

35 tools across 8 sections · Sell, deliver and invoice from a portal on your own server. · Contribute on GitHub

Listings are short and neutral. Inclusion is not an endorsement, and nothing here is ranked. Check each vendor’s current features and pricing yourself before you buy — plans change. This list is maintained by the ClientOS team, and the ClientOS entry is marked as such.

Self-hosted client portals

You run it on your own server; client data stays in your own database.

  • ClientOS — Self-hosted, white-label client portal for productized service agencies: service pages, payments (Stripe, PayPal, crypto), briefs, delivery approvals and invoicing on your own server. One-time licence, no monthly fee. Not open source — delivered as verified Docker images. Docs. Disclosure: maintained by the ClientOS team, who also maintain this list.

Hosted (SaaS) white-label client portals

Subscription portals hosted by the vendor, on their infrastructure.

  • Wayfront — Hosted client portal for productized agencies. Formerly Service Provider Pro (spp.co); the footer on wayfront.com states the rename.

What "self-hosted" means, and what it does not

The word gets used loosely, and the distinction matters when you are choosing from the list above.

Self-hosted

The software runs on a server you rent or own. The database, the files and the client records are in your infrastructure, and the vendor cannot read them. You are responsible for the server, the updates and the backups — which is the trade.

Open source

The source code is published under a licence that lets you read, modify and redistribute it. Self-hosted software is often open source, but not always — and open source hosted for you by the vendor is not self-hosted.

White label

The product carries your brand rather than the vendor’s. This is a branding feature, not a hosting one: plenty of hosted SaaS is fully white-label, and some of it charges extra to remove a "powered by" badge.

Where ClientOS sits

Self-hosted and white-label, but not open source: it ships as ready-built, SHA-256-verified Docker images with a one-command installer, and the source code is not provided. If an open-source licence is a hard requirement, ClientOS is not your answer and we would rather you knew that now.

If you came here searching for an open source client portal on GitHub: this repository is the list, not the software. ClientOS itself is a commercial, self-hosted product. The list above does include genuinely open-source tools where they fit a section — Cal.com for scheduling and DocuSeal for signatures, both self-hostable.

Free agency templates in this repo

Four vendor-neutral templates, released under CC0 — use them with any portal on this page, or with none.

Adding to the list

Open a pull request. One tool per PR, in the right section, described in one neutral sentence with no superlatives. It has to be live and publicly available, and if you work for it or are affiliated with it, say so in the PR — that is the whole review standard, and it is the same one the ClientOS entry above is held to.

All links checked 29 October 2026. Descriptions are our own summaries of what each vendor says about itself; none is quoted as a factual claim beyond that.

The self-hosted entry on that list, in detail

ClientOS is the self-hosted, white-label option above. The instant demo emails you a login to a live one with sample data — read-only, 3 days, no call and no card.
